Playdoh Recipe
2 cups plain flour
1 cup salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 Tbsp. oil
1 small bottle food coloring (if color is desired)
1-2 tsp. vanilla, lemon, almond, or whatever flavoring you would like
Approx. 1 - 2 cups water (enough to make doh like very thick pancake batter)
Directions: Mix ingredients together in an electric skillet. Cook on low, (250 degrees) stirring constantly with a sturdy spoon or spatula, until doh is the consistency of very thick mashed potatoes. Turn cooked doh out on a stain proof counter and knead until smooth. Let cool, then place in an airtight container for storage. This doh will dry out, so it must be kept tightly covered.
